Every week, you’re invited to take a virtual excursion and sketch a historically significant building located in one of the ICAA’s Southeast Chapter states. Even though it isn’t possible to be together in person, creatives of all ages and skill levels can enjoy a sense of community by sketching the same subject at the same time and then seeing the shared results of their efforts on the ICAA Southeast Instagram page.
Here’s how it works:
Reference images will be provided each Wednesday for the selected building. Sketch during the week or over the weekend, using the media or technique of your choice.
Email a JPG file of your sketch to icasoutheast@gmail.com by noon on the Monday immediately following the sketch date.
The ICAA will post to the ICAA Southeast Instagram account on Monday afternoon. Please include your Instagram handle in order to tag your sketch. Post to your own Instagram account using #icaasoutheast #graphiteandgrits #connectingthroughsketching #classicalarchitecture
Have fun and experiment. All are welcome to participate, especially children and students of any age.
