Kristin Genet’s artistic odyssey is a compelling confluence of culture, nature, and innovation. Emerging from a childhood in former East Germany, her creativity flourished despite the confines of the Cold War. Later in Germany, she received an education in both film and architecture. After the wall came down, her wanderlust led her to residencies in Granada, NYC, L.A., and now Serenbe, GA.
Genet’s artistry seamlessly integrates German craftsmanship and refinement with American vibrancy and dynamism. Her sculptural works are constructed with precision in wood, metal, and clay. They are explorations where soft elements of nature contrast with graphic, geometric forms. Each piece evokes serenity while commanding attention.
