McKinnon and Harris is pleased to welcome their 2026 Artist in Residence, Anne Blackwell Thompson of Blackwell Botanicals, to their Atlanta showroom. Known for transforming pressed botanicals into refined works of art, Anne will have ten pieces from the collection on display and available for purchase.
About Anne:
Richmond, Virginia based artist and plantswoman Anne Blackwell Thompson creates beautiful, artistic compositions through the preservation of foliage and flowers using centuries-old techniques. Her work is a reflection of her love of the natural world, combined with significant training in botany, studio art, art history, and a treasured apprenticeship with world-renowned botanical artist Stuart Thornton in Turin, Italy. Anne frequently works with interior designers, landscape architects, private collectors and hoteliers to produce one-of-a-kind botanical specimens reflective of a project’s aesthetic, scale, and composition objectives.
